I FEEL FANTASTIC!! I have been off chemo for 4 weeks now at my own request. After 4 months of chemo every 11 days I felt it was beginning to hurt my body more than help it. I talked to my doctor about it and he didn’t say NO! Ha Ha! I guess I must have sounded pretty convincing. Ha!
I had a CAT scan and another PET scan last week. While I was inside the PET scan machine I heard a pop! Not knowing what it was I didn’t say anything. When they came to get me out, my arm (where they inserted the tube) was all full of blood and my clothes were full of blood, it was a mess! Ha! Ha! That was the pop I had heard! But I just picked myself up, cleaned myself off, and started all over again! I won’t know the results until Monday, August 23rd. When I hear what they are I will let you know as soon as I can. Of course I am praying and believing for a miracle! I don’t want to have to go through any more chemo. I feel like I am completely WELL!
Oh, my voice is starting to come back on a more regular basis. It used to come and go… it’s staying more these days and I’m starting to be able to sing just a little bit. I sound a bit like “Rod Stewart” but hey, that’s not so bad! Ha! Ha! I like his music!
My trip to preach in CA was wonderful! God gave me lots of strength and “zip”!! I preached up a storm! I taught the youth the 10 Commandments… yes, God still has 10 Commandments and yes, they were meant for TODAY! We laughed a lot but I don’t think they will ever forget them! Even though kids do not like to hear, “Thou shalt not!” Ha!
Sunday night with Dottie Rambo doing the singing and me doing the preaching was quite a night! I loved seeing my friend of 25 years again and loved the opportunity to share the platform with a living legend. She has written some of the greatest gospel songs of our time. 13 people came forward and gave their lives to the Lord that night. I told them, “You’ve tried everything else and it hasn’t worked, why not give Jesus a try?” It was such a great night!
The TV crew that did “The Eyes of Tammy Faye,” came home from CA with us and spent 4 days at our house. They are doing another documentary on me going through cancer treatments.
I love you so much and you will NEVER know what your prayers and concern have meant to me and my family. I read every single email that comes to me. PLEASE PRAY I WILL RECEIVE GOOD NEWS ON MONDAY!
