My how this computer age has changed the way we communicate! But I love the little sticky thing they call a stamp! I like the one with the roses on it! I'll have to admit though this way is much faster. I can hardly keep up with the fast pace anymore. I think we all need to "SLOW DOWN AND ENJOY THE SCENERY ALONG THE WAY!" Don't allow yourself to be constantly driven! You lose so much of the JOY in doing when you constantly have to rush everything so you can get on to the next thing. SLOW DOWN AND LIVE! Ha Ha!

I am feeling wonderful! I have another PET scan and CT scan in Nov. That is a normal time line. My hair is thickening up, my fingers and toes are starting to lose some of the numbness that has been in them. I feel better everyday. I am so grateful and thankful to God. God is a good God EVERYDAY!

I am still having some problems with my singing voice. One day I was trying to sing and Roe came in and found me crying. He didn't say anything; just put his arms around me. The next day he came up and handed me a piece of paper. On it he had written:

He has given me a new song to sing, of Praises to our God.
Now many will hear of the glorious things He did for me,
And stand in awe before the Lord, and put their trust in Him.

(Psalms 40:3)

I KNOW that one day I WILL sing again! A NEW song!

I again want all of you to know that I AM reading all your emails and I sit and laugh and cry and pray for you as I read them. They are so wonderful that I cannot believe you are talking about ME! I feel so humbled by your words of love and encouragement. Thank You from the bottom of my heart.

My son Jay and his wife Amanda were here with us for nearly a week. Jay had some speaking engagements close to where we live, so we were able to spend some family time together. I went to one of his services and it was one of the first times I've ever worn jeans to church! Ha! Jay is working at buying their very first house and Roe and I are trying to help them through the process. So, when they left they left the funniest little Thank You card! It read: "Thank you from the depths of hell." (You open it up and go on…) "Somehow 'thank you from the bottom of my heart' just didn't seem DEEP enough!" Of course we loved it! Ha Ha! And it still makes me laugh!

Roe and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary on October 3rd. We took a car trip to Williamsburg, VA where we traveled back into the past. We walked where our forefathers had walked. I've heard people talk about "the good 'ole days" with a tear in their eye. Now I KNOW WHY they were crying… no lights, no indoor plumbing, no washers and dryers, no TV, nothing but dirt roads!! No cell phones, no computers! Heavens, how in the world did they make it?? What did they do for FUN!? It sounds like all WORK to me! Ha! Ha! I for one am glad I am living today. I LOVE all the "stuff" we have! Hey, did anyone ever think we'd go to the moon?? Much less WALK on it!

Well, I'm rambling! I will keep you up to date on what is happening. I love you but more importantly GOD LOVES YOU, HE REALLY DOES!!

  Love,
