Dear Friends,

My girlfriend from Germany has been with me for the past week. We have had such fun doing all the “girl” things! Eat and shop and talk, eat and shop and talk! Ha! ha! Men don’t know the fun they are missing! Ha!

Last week I had blood tests (yuck) and a couple of days ago I had yet another pet scan. Roe said we could save a lot of money if I’d just lie down on the floor and let my dogs run around and over me! Ha! ha! He even said he’d get me a cat! Ha! HA!

Today was the day I found out how everything turned out. I went to the doctor excited, scared, wanting to hear, yet NOT wanting to hear the results. So many things flood through your mind at a time like this. I finally prepared myself to be willing to accept whatever the doctor said. Again back to my verse in 1 Thess. “In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”. That verse has been my lifeboat!! So, into the doctor’s office Roe and I go. My tummy was churning with excitement and with trepidation. Ha! I don’t know HOW those two things can dwell together……… The doctor started to talk to us. These are his exact words. “I DON’T HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU; I HAVE GREAT NEWS FOR YOU. YOU ARE CANCER FREE!”!!!!! As Roe and I digested what he had just said, he continued. “I thought I was going to have to put you back on chemo therapy again”. I said, “Well Doc, God had other plans for me”. He smiled and said you’re right!

People, PRAYER CHANGES THINGS! Your prayers in my behalf have changed things for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I wish with all my heart there was a bigger, better word. I know it takes time to pray and I also know how valuable your time is. Thank you for your time! Thank you for thinking about me during your busy day.

My children and I will be doing “GOOD MORNING AMERICA” on Dec 1st. I am so excited to have Jay and Tammy Sue doing something with Mom! Then on Dec 3rd I will be on “THE LARRY KING SHOW”. I always love being with Larry. WE-Women’s Entertainment Network will be airing a 90 minute special in July produced by the same people that did “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”. Randy and Fenton are my good friends and I so appreciate them asking me to do yet another documentary. Their production company is called World of Wonder. By doing this I hope to help women and men alike who are suffering with cancer (even when it looks hopeless). I want them to know that they can make it and that nothing is impossible! Miracles happen everyday to someone. That someone can be YOU!

I celebrated today by going out and buying a PINK leather jacket, or should I say Roe bought me a pink leather jacket, he just doesn’t know it yet! Ha! ha!
